The FDA is alerting pharmacists to the medication errors involving risperidone and ropinirole. According to reports, some patients have been taking the wrong medication and they have ended up hospitalized. Risperidone is an antipsychotic medication while ropinirole is a dopamine agonist used for Parkinson's disease and restless leg syndrome. There have reportedly been more than 200 wrong medication errors in regard to these two drugs.
