According to reports, the hospital has settled a lawsuit for $500,000 involving a matter where a widow claims her husband died after a surgeon perforated his bowel during a surgery to repair a hernia. It was reportedly the first time the surgeon had ever performed the surgery, which was not known to the man or his wife.
