A bill that would cap medical malpractice jury awards has passed in the Missouri House. According to reports, the cap would be at $350,000. This new bill would replace the caps the state had in place from 2005 to 2012. This new bill only caps noneconomic damages, not economic damages. A cap was attempted in 2012, but the Missouri Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional.
